Well, that’s how the guy fixing it described it and the engine certainly looks familiar....
To be exact, it’s the rear subframe of a Roadster with engine, gearbox and suspension attached. From there forward (and above, because new bodywork) it’s a trike. The only other visible part shared is the middle brake light surround which now looks like a spoiler.
3-Rad means three wheel in German so it presumably came from there originally.

I guess they’re running out of Reliants to cut up for trikes, so are moving on to Smarts. Never really got the trike thing myself, but to each his own I suppose.
